William (Bill) Nelson Clemons. Age 77. Passed away April 15, 2013. Bill was born April 29, 1935 in Falmouth, Kentucky and raised by his loving parents Neal and Anna Jacobs. Bill enlisted in the Army when he was 17 years old was sent to Korea as a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne division. After the war, Bill became a fireman for the Pennsylvania railroad and retired as a passenger engineer in 1969 after 15 years of service. Bill loved hunting and fishing, restoring old cars and trucks and collecting coins. He was the owner and operator of three Tires, Inc. stores located throughout Ohio and Indiana from 1995 to 2009. He leaves behind four children from his marriage to Ila (Sam) Jones: Deborah Clemons of Greensfork, Indiana; Sheila Kurtnick of Eaton, Ohio; Valerie Clemons of Westerville, Ohio; Bill Clemons of Erlanger, KY and two step-children: Carla Weiser and Adam Follrod with his current wife Linda. Bill also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jacob (Jake) Powers, Anna Caroline Wright and Tristan Clemons and two great grandchildren, Sierra Payne and Chloe James. Funeral services will be at Allison and Rose Funeral Home,5645 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, Kentucky on Friday April 19, 2013 at 12 noon with military honors and interment Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Visitation 11AM until hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
