Thomas (Tom) Michael Schadler, 78 of Covington, Kentucky, entered eternal life peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 25, 2023. Tom was born February 13, 1945, in Covington, Kentucky. Tom is preceded in death by his parents; Joseph & Margaret Schadler; a brother, Charles Edward Schadler. Surviving family members to cherish his memory is his beloved bride of 58 years, Linda Schadler (nee Risch); and six children, Joseph Schadler (Debbie), Deborah Smith (Todd), Jeffrey Schadler (Yoli), Dena Landrum (Jeff), Danielle Payton (Clinton) and Jason Schadler; 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Tom was the owner and operator of Toms Barbershop on Scott Street in Covington. He Barbered over 60 years until his retirement in June 2022. He was well known in the local community for quality haircuts and barbershop friendship. He was also a credentialed bricklayer for over four decades with Risch Brothers and Price Brothers, Inc. Tom was honored to be Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed coaching and umpiring softball, playing competitive sports, dedicated to watching WWE, bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, avid card player and member of Moose Lodge 1469 in Taylor Mill. Tom was a former Squadron Commander, Civil Air Patrol Northern Kentucky Composite Squadron. Above all his greatest passion was playing and watching baseball. He was a season pass holder in Row 107, Seat 14 for many years rooting on his team, Florence Yalls at the Thomas More Baseball Stadium in Florence. Tom was a member of Holy Cross Parish. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 11 am until 1 pm with a service following officiated by Father Hennigen from Holy Cross Church. A Celebration of Life will be held following the service at the Moose Lodge, 5247 Taylor Mill Road from 2 pm to 5 pm. Coffee and light desserts will be offered. Monetary donations can be made personally to Holy Cross Parish, 3612 Church Street, Covington, Kentucky 41015.
