Sandra “Sandy” King Hammons, age 63. Passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her Covington, KY residence. Former Elementary teacher for Covington Independent School System, 9th District. Member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, served on the Hospitality Committee, and as Children’s Church Teacher. Enjoyed raising and maintaining her flower beds. SERVICES, 12:00PM Tuesday, February 16th, Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6056 Taylor Mill Road, Covington, KY. VISITATION 10AM until hour of service, Tuesday at the church. INTERMENT, Independence Cemetery, Independence, Kentucky. MEMORIALS, if desired, may be directed to Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her: daughter-Christina Nicole Hammons (2003) and father-Phillip King, Sr. (2015) Surviving are her: husband- Stephen W. Hammons (married 8-2-1974); daughter-Caitlin Marie. Hammons, Covington, KY; mother- Zelma Roberts King, Independence, KY; sister-Terri King Schoborg, Covington, KY; brothers Phillip King, Jr., Lakeside Park, KY, Chris King, Independence, KY and many nieces and nephews.
