Raymond L. “Ray” Orr, Sr. Age 85. Resident of Independence, KY. Passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice, Edgewood, KY. He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Retired engraver for the McKay Gravure Systems, Florence, KY. Formerly employed as a assembler for Sweco Co, Florence,KY and Buck Equipment, Dehil, OH. Enjoyed playing slot machines, and watching Bonanza Episcodes reruns on television. SERVICES 7PM Tuesday, March 5th Allison Rose Funeral Home, 5645 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY. MILITARY HONORS and INTERMENT 11AM Wednesday, March 6th, Independence Cemetery, Independence, KY. VISITATION 4PM until hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Northern Kentucky Honor Guard, 8385 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042. Preceded in death by his: wife-Mary Rita Nicely “Little Mary” Orr (5-3-2003) and parents-Eddie and Elsie Piercefield Orr. Surviving are his: daughter-Mary Beth Orr, Independence ,KY; sons-Steve Shaw, Ft. Mitchell, KY, Ray L. Orr, Jr., Naples, Fl; 2-grandchildren; 6-great grandchildren and sister-Helen Orr Closson, Mississippi.
