Nelson C. Tilley, age 85. Passsed to his eternal home on Thursday, March 3,2022. Born and raised in Covington, Kentucky, Nelson served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 until 1956. He was a lifetime member of Local 44 Ironworkers Union where he served as President from 1975 until 1977. Nelson was a charismatic individual that will be impossible to forget. He touched so many lives with his service and dedication to causes he believed in. He ws relatable, honest and committed to helping those in need. Through his leadership role in AA, he made connection with people and was able to positively effect their lives. His best quality is that he never gave up on people. It was his calling. Nelson is preceded in death by his parents Lula K. Tilley and Nelson S. Tilley. He is survived by his ex-wife Jacqua Lynn 83, his chidren Laura 61, Troy 59, Robert 57, Roger 56. Sister Jackie 79. and 9 grandchildren. Visitation 11: 00 AM until hour of service 1:00pm Thursday, March 10th at the Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Robbins Street and Madison Avenue, Covington, KY. Interment 2:00 pm Forest Lawn Memorial Paark, Erlanger, KY. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Societ, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitcehll, KY 41017
