Marion Amelia Snodgrass Hartman passed peacefully to be with her Savior Jesus Christ Saturday September 3, 2016. She was born in Covington, KY on June 27, 1925. Marion was a member and Sunday school teacher at Latonia Baptist Church and then a member of Florence Baptist Church. She was married to Robert Gus Hartman on May 20, 1946. She is survived by her husband and five children Kathleen (Bill) Blackburn, Deborah (Doug) Rockenstein, Robert M.Hartman Richard (Donna) Hartman, David (Toni) Hartman. Grandchildren: Billy Blackburn, Jason, Adam and Aaron Rockenstein; Meredith and Maura Hartman and Hailey, Hannah, and Andrew Hartman. Great Grandchildren: Kendall Rockensein, Will, Braden and Andrew Blackburn. Sister- Judith DeSalvo. Preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Bertha Snodgrass, Nephew Stevie DeSalvo and infant grandson Richard Hartman II. Marion was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and loving grandmother. Her community service was only overshadowed by her wonderful sense of humor and by her love for family and friends. Community service included local and state PTA officer, Covington Ladies Home Board Member/Volunteer. Grade school tutor/mentoring and she took special pride in organizing and presenting the “New Friends” program in the Public school system that focused on special needs children acceptance and awareness. Join us for a Celebration of Marion’s life with visitation Friday September 9th from 5-7 pm and Service at 7pm, Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mt. Zion Rd., Florence KY 41042.
