Loula Mae Litteral Acra, age 104. Resident of Hyde Park, OH, formerly of Ft. Mitchell, KY. born on September 22, 1909 in London, KY to the late Charles and Louisa Jane Prewitt Litteral. Widow of the late Ross T. Acra Merchant and Owner of Acra’s Markets, Covington, and Latonia, KY. Mother of Nancy Acra Creaghead, Cincinnati, OH. Went home to be with her maker on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Marjorie P. Lee Residential Center, Hyde Park, OH. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the Acra’s Markets. Former Harlan County, KY teacher of 4th thru 6th grade students. Dear friend of Colonel Harlem Sanders and his family. Life Long Member, Deacon Emeritus, Sunday School Teacher, Christian Women’s Fellowship of the Madison Avenue Christian Church, Covington, KY. Alumna of Sue Bennett “Norman School” College. Past President, oldest and longest living member of the Covington Art Club. Widely known for her angel food cakes and custards, which resulted in approximately 350 egg shells each year that she dyed, decorated with braids, pearls, and flowers in the Fabergie tradition.
