Lori Ann Collins, 56, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 20th, 2023, after a brave
battle with cancer.
Lori was born on September 5, 1966, to James and Pamela Collins in Covington, Kentucky. After
graduating from Holmes High School in 1984, Lori went on to work for the City of Covington for 30 years
as an Affordable Housing Specialist until she happily retired. After retirement, she continued to work as
an Affordable Housing Specialist for the City of Newport.
Lori had a real zest for life, a contagious smile and was always the life of the party. She was a bright light
to everyone that knew her. Family was always her first priority. There was nothing she loved more than
a fun night with the kids and grandkids. Lori really enjoyed getting together with family and friends for
dinners, parties, cookouts, concerts and girls trips. She was an avid bowler who routinely scored over
200. She also played softball in her younger years and was on championship teams as a child. She also
enjoyed trivia night (even though she rarely knew the answers). She loved listening to music and
watching old music videos especially her beloved Bon Jovi. Her favorite place to be was a comfortable
chair on the beach or poolside.
Lori was preceded in death by her father James Collins and her mother Pamela Collins. She is survived
by her loving husband Jeremy Wallace, daughters Jamie Spang (Jon), Amy Dodd (Eddie), brothers Jimmy
Collins (Laurie) and Billy Collins (Melissa), grandchildren Jake, Emily, Jordan, Jayden, Jonny, Jackson and
Adalynn, Granny Bill as well as a huge extended family.
Services will be held at Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, KY on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm with a short memorial service at 6:00. There will be a celebration of
her life immediately following at the Pride Park Community Center across the street.
