Gary Lee Staggs passed from this life accepting his angel wings on April 24, 2022 suddenly and unexpectantly, Gary was 68 years old. Just a year out of high school, Gary married his high-school sweetheart, Anrea Parnell, Together they moved to Richmond, Kentucky to attend college at Eastern Kentucky University where Gary earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Gary's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts will exceed the days of his life and live on through us. Gary is remembered by many for his quick wit and never-ending puns. He brough laughter to most situations. But Gary's greatest joys in life were: spending time with his wife of 49 years, Andtrea Parnell Staggs: and children, Alyssa Gail Staggs Vanderpoot and Brandon Lee Staggs and Amie Allen Staggs (cherished daughter-in-law; and earning the honorable title of "Papa" by his five grandchildren: C. J.. Vanderpool, Jackson Vanderpool, Andrea Vanderpool, Abigall Staggs, and Amie Staggs! Gary never missed an opportunit to attend their musical events, the many theatrical events, sporting events, swim meets, marching band, guard competitions and award ceremonies. Gary considered a few dear friends as family too insisting; they be treated as family. He was steadfast in referring to Mark and Carol Louis and their children as his trusted family along with Debbie and Derl Combe. Gary so enjoyed his rounds of golf with his son, Brandon, whenever time permitted. He beamed with great pride whenever his daughter, Alyssa, picked up a microphone and performed. Planning vacations with his wife, Andrea, became his most precious moments of happiness. Gary was a devoted Purchasing Director with Midwest Filtration Company where he served for several years. His relationship with his colleagues in the workplace was done with ease and great knowledge of all aspects of the business they conducted. Gary has been recongnized by many of his extended family for offering fun outings and even lodging for many of his nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father Robert B. Stagg, his mother Helen E. Staggs; his brother Raymond Staggs; and sister Gail Staggs. He is survived by those name abbove, many extended family members, neighbors who became friends, co-workers and business associates he considered to be friends. Gary's family will be accedpting hugs of condolence on Satturday , April 30, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Allison & Rose Funeral Home, 5645 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, Ky 41015; followed immediately by a Celebrationg of Gary'f Life at his home for all who wish to share their "Gary" Memories with hte family and others.
