Dorothy Quinn Henderson, 86, passed on to her home in heaven at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center on November 2, 2011 having declined after a complicated fall in September. Faithful wife of Carl T. Henderson and loving mother of four chldren: Cathy Henderson of Cincinnati, OH, Jan (Rick) Thompson of Chicago, IL, Brian (Michelle) Henderson of Taylor Mill, KY and Kim (Gary) Gromacki of Clark’s Summit,PA, including eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her brother Douglas Quinn of New Jersey and sister Joan Garvin of Philadelphia, PA. All of us will miss her dearly. Dorothy was born in Stamford, CN, grew up in Brooklyn,NY and West Chester,PA. She met her husband at the end of World War II. During their 65 years of marriage, Dorothy enjoyed being a faithful mother and excellent homemaker. She was known as being generous, hospitable and a wonderful friend. She committed her life to Jesus Christ in her 30’s, which grew into a strong love of the Bible, her church and seeing others come to trust Christ. She enjoyed serving in the greeting and women’s ministry of her church. Her hobbies included reading, writing letters, traveling, decorating, ceramics and hospitality. Though her life was intersected by a major stroke at 69, she continued to enjoy her family and home until her death. SERVICES will be 10AM Saturday, November 5th, Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia, KY. INTERMENT: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY. VISITATION: 4 UNTIL 7 PM Friday, and after 9AM Saturday at the church.
